Pier Seven Aviation is seeking an experienced Compliance Monitoring Manager to lead and continually improve its compliance monitoring program (CMP) and compliance management system (CMS). Reporting to the Accountable Manager, you will provide independent assurance that the company’s activities meet applicable civil aviation requirements and internal standards. You will coordinate audits, support teams in addressing findings, and maintain effective communication with management, staff and regulatory authorities.
What you will do
Lead the compliance monitoring system
· Implement, maintain and continually review the CMP and CMS, recommending suitable compliance indicators to the Accountable Manager.
· Ensure the CMS policy is established and implemented and presented to the Accountable Manager for approval.
· Track regulatory changes and coordinate updates to company processes and procedures so the organization responds to applicable changes.
· Coordinate CMS review meetings, present audit results and improvement areas, and follow up on agreed actions.
· Maintain direct access to the Accountable Manager and report findings, remarks, non-compliances and significant risks.
Plan audits and drive corrective action
· Manage the audit cycle, including planning, scheduling, conducting and reviewing audits, surveys and investigations across relevant functions.
· Assess compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, procedures and standards; monitor the suitability of procedures and services.
· Review corrective and preventive actions objectively, including whether proposed actions address root causes, are implemented effectively and do not create other compliance gaps.
· Track findings and actions to closure, keeping clear records of evidence, ownership, progress and completion.
· Maintain the independence of compliance monitoring by ensuring audits and inspections are conducted by personnel not responsible for the function, procedure or product being audited; oversee external personnel engaged to perform internal audits.
· Where contracted service providers are within the compliance monitoring scope, assess their compliance before and during engagement, as applicable.
· Provide or coordinate training for staff according to their roles and support the development of internal auditors as required.
Support regulatory compliance and assurance
· Report significant non-conformities to the EASA, GCAA and other relevant CAA in accordance with applicable regulations.
· Notify the CAA of significant non-compliances or incidents, including major outages relating to a Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD), and inform the CAA of major changes to a qualified device.
· Liaise with the CAA and other relevant external organizations, respond to compliance matters and participate in regulatory audits.
· Work with business departments to support day-to-day compliance with CAA requirements and company standards.
· Escalate risks to clients or Pier Seven Aviation’s reputation that arise from inadequate procedures, systems or data handling.
· Maintain secure, current and accessible compliance records, including audit reports, findings, reviews, corrective actions and training records.
· Maintain access to all areas of Pier Seven Aviation and, where required, its subcontractors.
